Join us to watch the wild orangutan at Borneo Island and feel the sensation of living on the riverboat and witnessing the Orangutan in the wildlife. DAY 1: PANGKALAN BUN – KUMAI – TANJUNG HARAPAN CAMP – PROBOSCIS TOUR Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport you will be picked up and board on the boat at Kumai River, and cruise to Sekoyer River. The boat is a traditional boat (Klotok) wooden river boat about 17m x 2.5m with an upper deck where you can view the rainforest along the river. After cruising approximately in 1 ½ hours, we will stop at Tanjung Harapan Rehabilitation centerfor orangutan and watch Orangutan feeding time at 3 pm. Back to the boat and do slowly cruise to explore the peace of the river while observing the wildlife such as long noses monkey, long tail macaque and birds along the riverside. Lunch and dinner a la carte will be served by your own personal chef on the boat. The boat will anchor at a safe place and you will overnight on the boat with comfortable mattress, pillow, mosquito net and the harmony sounds of the jungle while the boat gently swinging by the river flows. The boat also has simple western style toilet and shower available on the boat (L, D) DAY 2: PONDOK TANGGUY CAMP – LEAKEY CAMP After breakfast, the klotokwill cruise to another rehabilitation centerat Pondok Tanguy Camp for watching orangutans feeding time at 9 am. The journey continues by cruising the black water to the most famous orangutan campsite, namely The Camp Leakey. On the journey, we can see the marvellous reflection of the vegetation along the river, and there is a possibility, the freshwater crocodile and other wildlife can be seen along the river bank. Upon arriving at the Camp Leakey, we will do short trekking through tropical rainforest and enjoying the wildlife, birds and other rainforest animals as well as tropical jungle vegetation. After watching the orangutan feeding time at 2 pm, we will back to the boat. Dinner and overnight on the boat (B, L, D) DAY 3: TRANSFER OUT In the morning, breakfast will be served on the boat and after that, we will cruise down the river back to Kumai Port and transfer out to Pangkalan Bun airport for next destination.
